Andrésy Confitures and Jean-Louis Bissardon, a meeting of minds

December 2017
Since 2007, Andrésy Confitures has been offering its customers nectars and French fruit juices produced under the brand name Jean-Louis Bissardon. A meeting of minds that stems from its constant search for fine French food to offer prestigious hotels and delicatessens in France and abroad.
Jean-Louis Bissardon French fruit juices come in a transparent bottle marked with a little heart shape symbolising a love of fruit. The bright colour of a mouth-watering nectar or fruit juice, followed by the taste of fruit in all its natural glory.
For Andrésy Confitures, these are values that it has been sharing for over 10 years, along with tasty, fine French food that perfectly complements its own collection.
A partnership is born
In 2007, Jean-Louis Bissardon was hoping to expand its collection of French fruit juices and become more professional. Andrésy Confitures was looking for new fine French food for its customer base of luxury hotels and delicatessens. The two companies met and realised that they had the same values and way of working. They decided to work together on designing and developing a complementary range of fine French food,
which Andrésy Confitures would then distribute to its high-end customers.
“We listen to each other in order to innovate and adapt to trends, while still keeping tradition alive.”
Shared family values
The two partners have a point in common that strengthens their relationship: they are both family companies intent on protecting and passing on their expertise and know-how.
Jean-Louis Bissardon is the son of a fruit-grower and has always been surrounded by fruit trees. He grew up steeped in the lore of fruit growing and, since 1994, has been putting this knowledge to use in his French fruit juice business.
Andrésy Confitures was founded in 1952. Today the third generation is continuing the work of the company’s founder, to design and make artisan jams in a spirit of innovation and tradition.
Organic techniques and artisanal tradition
Jean-Louis Bissardon’s French fruit juice factory is located in fine fruit-growing region in the Loire department, on the edge of the Pilat nature park. It works with the producers of the Rhône-Alpes Region, who supply 95% of the fruit it processes.
No matter how simple or sophisticated, Jean-Louis Bissardon nectars and French fruit juices are made with organically-grown fruit and vegetables, including wild blueberry, Bergeron apricot, blood peach, cherry, pippin apple, apple and quince, apple and raspberry, syrah grape, tomato juice and carrot. They are picked at maturity and pressed using artisanal methods, without adding any artificial colours or preservatives.
The same respect for the type of fruit, its original taste and its taste qualities can be found in the way Andrésy Confitures creates and cooks its recipes.
Complementary ranges
Andrésy Confitures offers Jean-Louis Bissardon nectars, cocktails and French fruit juices to enjoy at any time of the day. On refined, gourmet breakfast tables, the 25 cl bottle with the little heart looks pretty standing next to jam pots signed Andrésy Confitures. It is just as convenient for minibars as for room service.
The 1 litre bottles are ideal for retail sales or buffets, where the 3 litre bag-in-box format is a great thirst-quencher.
Innovation springs from within
After 10 years, this partnership built on the same values and the same approach continues to be very productive. In a world where tastes and trends change very quickly, it is a fertile setting for dialogue.
The two partners aim to give uncompromising customers the pleasure of including on their menu delicious Andrésy Confitures artisan jams and flavour-filled Jean-Louis Bissardon nectars and French fruit juices.
They still have fine opportunities ahead of them for innovating together.
